                               RESOLUTION NO. 19386
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF RIVERFRONT PARKWAY MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON SATURDAY,
                   JUNE 6, 1992 FOR THE "GREAT CHATTANOOGA RAFT
                   RACE" SPONSORED BY THE TENNESSEE JAYCEE
                   FOUNDATION, INC. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Riverfront Parkway from Ross's Landing
       Driveway to River Street on Saturday, June 6, 1992 from 7:00 a.m. 

       to 10:00 p.m. for the "Great Chattanooga Raft Race" sponsored by
       the Tennessee Jaycee Foundation, Inc. provided that the sponsor
       installs and removes flasher barricades, road closed and detour
       signs in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto 

       and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for fire and 
other
       emergency vehicles.
